Untimely greying of hair is a problem that has, become . rampant. Now even young lads of 17-18 face this problem which used to afflict only at the middle age. Greying of hair, in fact, takes away the entire charm of a person in old age.

There are many reasons for this problem. Hereditary factor, - sudden trauma and the lack of Vitamin A and D are some of the major factors that give rise to this problem. Of course you have numerous dyes now available in the market but that is, in fact, no solution to the problem. It is like finding an escapist's cover to the problem.

Given below is an effective cure for this hair problem. Take a 100 gm of castor oil, 1 ounce sandal powder and even amount of coffee seeds powder. Heat all the three for about 20 minutes. When it is cold, strain and fill it up in a clean bottle. Massage this hair every night on your scalp and wash your hair early in the morning. This would not only turn your grey hair into black but also prevent the greying of hair.

Another hair lotion to keep your hair black is the following : Take a spoonful of henna powder and equal amount of dry Amla and tea leaves. Put these ingredients into a cupful of hot water. Now add 1/4 spoonful of salt and 1/2 spoonful of rosewater. On the top of it mix two spoonful of fresh lime juice. Let this solution lie as it is for about 5 hours, then start applying in the root of the hair. Leave the solution for about two hours. Just use this twice a week to keep your hair dark and lustrous.

Lice Problem :

Lice and tiny lice in common parlance, problem is hardly paid any attention in these kind of books. Nevertheless it is a bitter problem particularly with the long hair. Hence its victims are generally the girls. But gradually these problems have also started troubling the male folks.

About lice one thing is very clear. Their breeding ground is always the filth that gets accumulated if the hair are not combed frequently. You must remember that combing or brushing of the hair is not wanted only for setting your hair right but also for giving your hair a much needed massage and brushing out the filth gathering on them. Hence the first and foremost step of getting rid of these lice is to comb your hair frequently and before you retire for the day, vigorously.

Some other tried and tested remedies to get over this problem are given below:

(1) Add a bit of camphor to your coconut hair and massage your hair frequently with this solution. Every time you do so you should add a fresh piece of camphor to your coconut oil. Keeping camphor mixed coconut oil for long duration would nullify the camphorial effect.

Also, make sure that the coconut oil you choose is odourless and non-sticky one. Sticky one will attract more dirt from the atmosphere which odour will tend to nullify the effect of camphor. After massaging your hair with camphor mixed coconut oil, wash them with Retha or Retha based shampoo. In the final rinse add a spoonful of dettol or savlon in a mugful of clear water and give a final wash to your hair with this solution. This will also take care of the boils etc. growing on the hair in dry cold and hot summer months.

(2) Add a little oil with black pepper powder and massage this on your scalp. Then after 10 to 15 minutes comb your hair vigorously with a metal comb iron combs for this purpose are ideal which are easily available in the market. The teeth of this iron comb should be very closely placed.

(3) There are now a variety of anti lice lotions and creams that are now available in the market. Apply a little of them on your hair then cover your hair with a light cloth and retire. In the morning remove the cloth and wash your hair with a mild shampoo. You would find them washed away after your bath. But don't get complacent on our cleaning; repeat the medicine after a week or ten days. It is only when you find your scalp free of lice that you should stop the treatment. Even then occasional mcdicinal wash at least in rainy season and cold winters would be necessary to finally liberate yourself from the menace of lice.
